Creativity is Human

Steven Heller writing about how the AI revolution isn’t likely to be the end of designers.

As Heller points out, design isn’t about being able to use Photoshop, Figma or any other tool, but the ability to create good solutions to problems while using creativity and the tools. In the same way being able to use a hammer or a saw don’t make you a builder, being able to use a design tool does not mean you can design.

We, as a creative field, need to better at communicating that we are not selling our ability to use the tools, but the process and the knowledge involved in creating good solutions.
